Since 1774, Pineider of Florence has been applying traditional Italian methods to the production of its world-renowned, hand-dyed watermarked paper and other fine writing accessories. Now Pineider has introduced a new collection of writing instruments conceived by the incomparable Dante del Vecchio, designer of amazing Italian pens for over 30 years. His latest creation is the stunning Keys of Heaven limited edition fountain pen, a tribute to the Vatican City and its religious and cultural sites such as St. Peter’s Basilica, the Sistine Chapel and the Vatican Museums. The pen is a perfect example of exquisite Italian craftsmanship, individually hand-turned from a beautiful translucent stratified white and gold Italian resin. The finish has a slight sparkle that is set off by the elegant gold-plated accents: the distinctive Pineider clip shaped like a quill, and the Pineider crest in the cap crown. On the grip and pen end is the patented twist magnet lock system that permits a soft and pleasing opening and closure. The fountain pen has an outstanding solid 18K gold nib that is intricately engraved with the keys and tiara design of the coat of arms of the Vatican City. The Keys of Heaven is limited to only 174 pieces worldwide. The Pineider luxury presentation box includes two bottles of ink in sepia and dark red.
